Refrigerator and Ice Maker Line Filters in Loretto, MI

Refrigerator and Ice Maker Line Filters in Loretto, MI

Cloudy ice, a slow water dispenser or a stale taste usually points to the filter feeding your fridge or the line itself. Loretto, MI Whole House Water Filtration installs refrigerator and ice maker line filters and supply lines in Loretto, MI homes.

We handle three common jobs:

• Replacing the built-in refrigerator cartridge and purging air from the line
• Adding an inline filter on the supply line for fridges without one
• Swapping old saddle valves and thin plastic tubing for a proper quarter-turn valve and braided or PEX line

That last one is worth doing. Saddle valves pierce the copper pipe and are a known leak source, and old white plastic tubing gets brittle behind the fridge where nobody looks.

If your home already has whole house water filtration, the fridge filter does less work and lasts longer. Some homeowners skip it entirely and use a bypass plug, which we can advise on for your model.

After any filter change we run a few gallons through the dispenser to clear carbon fines and trapped air. The first few batches of ice should be tossed.
